The house is rustic, but has everything you need in terms of kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms, and is very clean. The beach and lake are pristine. You share the beach with members of the Kent family who are nearby and there is plenty of space to spread out. There is a general store right nearby and lots of great recommendations for exploring the area and checking out some of the other towns. Sam was very accommodating and great to work with. "This cottage is an amazing place to stay. The lake and beach are simply incredible. The views are some of the most beautiful in Vermont. The entire place is filled with a timeless rustic charm and warmth. The cottage is neat, clean, including bathroom, beds comfortable. There is a well-supplied kitchen for cooking, nice dishes, silver or just cottage flatware. The experience of having a fine meal with friends or family, is enhanced by the surroundings, and makes for great memories. My two favorite spots are sitting in a chair on the platform right next to the water or resting on the bed in the front room being warmed by the afternoon sun. The lake is simply the cleanest I have ever been swimming in. There is a huge variety of books for anyone to find something of interest to read on a rainy day, or as you go to bed. Having wireless Internet access allows you to connect to the outside world, research the area, or check up on news/weather. There are several comfortable beds, with warm blankets/covers. On some nights the loons can be heard. Their calls are truly beautiful and unforgettable. Early in the morning, you sometimes wake to a lake like a giant mirror. During breakfast, looking out over the lake, you can often see ducks or loons swimming by, with occasional fish jumping. In the evenings there is sometimes a spectacular sunset to welcome the quiet clear cool starlit night. Here you can either sit back and relax or explore the beauty of Vermont's North East.
